Chopper Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Frequented California Shoreline
A helicopter soaring above a popular coastal coastline abruptly started spinning uncontrollably, eventually dropping height and plunging into a line of palm trees as beachgoers watched.
Videos posted on the internet show the aircraft starting to spin near the beach then plunging near the border of the coast, where it gets stuck among palm groves and a staircase adjacent to the coastal road.
First Aid Update
Emergency responders said five persons were transported to a medical facility comprising two who were in the chopper and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the incident on the weekend.
Three persons on the road were harmed. Details on their condition were still under review.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.
